Tambo Yanayacu Lodge is an ideal location to 60 Kms./38 miles of the city of Iquitos, in the borders of the Yanayacu River. This area has been designated like the “Kingdom of the giant trees” and also recognized by its abundant wild life.

It has 10 rooms with passages and ceilings of palm for 30 people. Each room has private bath. Its native rustic style combines within the primary atmosphere and is excellent to observe the incredible wild life of the area. Our clients can combine nights in Tambo Yanayacu Lodge and the Amazon Sinchicuy Lodge.

To make long walks inside the primary forest; giant trees like the Lupuna can be seen, “the greatest tree of the forest”, observe birds, nocturnal excursions in search of Caymans, and many other animals like the “Shansho” bird that walks of branch in branch, its scientific name is “Hoatzin”, is one of the strangest birds of ours amazonía, its size is like, of a small turkey hen, can occasionally see in the creeks of some rivers and lakes in the low forest.
