Detailed Itinerary
1st day: LIMA
Receipt at Lima airport and transfer to the hotel selected. Lodging.
2nd day: LIMA - CITY TOUR….LIMA - HUANUCO
City Tour private service. An extraordinary tour will take us to the colonial zone as well as to the modern zone of this charming city. In the colonial or traditional zone we will appreciate the Main Square, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Desamparados train station and the ancient streets with moorish style mansions from Viceroyalty times. We will also visit San Francisco Church and its convent, the Colonial Art Museum, the catacombs, the cloisters, etc. The tour will continue along the most residential and commercial zone of the city, San Isidro and Miraflores along with its central park. Our tour will finish with an spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and Miraflores Beach. We will go after to the Gold Museum, a private collection owned by Mr. Manuel Mujica Gallo. The show includes gold pieces from Pre-Inca cultures, especially Mochica, Chimú and Nazca. Return to the hotel.
22:00 Departure in half-bed bus with bathroom, video and heating.

3rd day: HUANUCO IN – TINGO MARIA
01:25 p.m. Arrival and receipt at Huanuco Airport. Transfer in private transport to Gran Hotel Huanuco (Former Tourists Hotel). Buffet Lunch and presentation of typical dances of Huanuco (OPCIONAL).
02:25 p.m. Transfer to Tingo Maria City (aprox. 2 Hours).
04:30 p.m. Arrival and receipt at Madera Verde Hotel. At timely hour, visit to the Botanical Garden of the National Agricultural University of the Forest (with an specialist – OPTIONAL), that is a little tropical forest unique in its genre where we can appreciate the most varied plant species of our amazon region, a nursery of decorative, forest and medical plants and of some orchids; short City Tour to handicraft centers and stores of natural medicine products from our forest.
07:00 p.m. Dinner at Mangos Restaurant Pizza Store. Hotel.
09:00 p.m. Audiovisual Exposition about Orchids by a professional specialist. (OPTIONAL)

4th day: CARPISH ORCHIDS– “CUEVA DE LAS LECHUZAS” (OWLS’ CAVE NATIONAL PARK).
07:00 a.m. Breakfast. Hotel.
08:00 a.m. Transfer to the Cleft named “Carpish Straits” (01:30hrs.) this zone divides the mild Highland of Huanuco and High Forest of Tingo María.
Located at Orient Andes over 2,707 m.s.n.m., a place of cloudy forest and dense vegetation that hides a hundred wild orchid plants in wet environments (especially Epidendrum genre).
There are more than 300 varieties registered in the zone. (OPTIONAL: Specialist)
01:00 p.m. Return to the City and Lunch at “El Bosque” Country House. Presentation of
Forest Typical Dances (OPTIONAL).
03:00 p.m. Visit to “Tingo Maria National Park” to watch and take photos of the flora of this protected area, home of some colorful and beauty Orchid species. Along the road, we will appreciate the beautiful landscape of High Forest, we will see different species of typical plants of the park, we will profit the opportunity to visit the Sulfurous Waters of Jacintillo and the “Owls’ Cave”, a huge cavern with stalactites and stalagmites where parrots, parrakeets and guacharos (strange night birds, owls’ family) live together. We will take advantage of this area to visit a Private Orchid Nursery at Bella. At timely hour, return to Huanuco city. Hotel. (OPTIONAL: Assistance by a Profesional Specialist).
07:00 p.m. Dinner at Mangos Restaurant Pizza Store. Overnight.

5th day: WILD ORCHIDS EXCURSION –PADRE ABAD BREACH
07:00 a.m. Breakfast. Hotel.
08:00 a.m. Transfer to La Divisoria Valley located at the mountain chain of Blue Cordillera, 40 Kms far from Tingo María city, a Penetration Road to the Jungle that goes to Pucallpa city at 1,580 a.s.l in the limit of Huanuco and Ucayali departments, a rainy area permanently covered by mist, well known by its tea plantations and the great variety of wild orchids which are watched in its forests covered by dense woodland. We can watch orchids among the branches of the trees and over the floor moss. The travel continues later and we will lunch on the road (Box Lunch), to arrive to “Padre Abad Breach” located 82 Km of Tingo María, a giant vertical crater whose approximate length is 6 Km. Through this breach we leave high forest in order to enter to the amazon plain where we can appreciate wild orchids from Yuracllacu River microbasin. Besides, we can appreciate the beauty of high forest with its splendid cataracts such as the “Veil of the Bride”, the “Devil’s Shower and “Salty Water”. Return to Tingo María city. Hotel.

6th day: EXCURSION TO THE FORESTRY RESERVE OF THE NATIONAL AGRICULTURE UNIVERSITY
06:00 a.m. We will visit the Reserved Forests of the National Agricultural University of the Forest which are areas protected by the University, suitable for sportsmen tourists and those who love the direct contact with the nature, with practices of trekking tourism in the jungle along the forest woods. We can appreciate there some wild plants species and animals which live in this forest. Return to the Hotel.
08:30 a.m. Breakfast at the Hotel.
09:30 a.m. Approxímate hour to leave to Huanuco until the Airport or bus station. Arrival to Lima. Lodging.

7th day: LIMA ...
Breakfast. At the hour indicated, transfer to the hotel or the airport to take the departure flight to return to your country.
