Cusco- Inka Trail Trekking

04 days/03 nights

Inca trail in 04 days. Enjoying the wonderful scene of natural vegetation that you can see only in the Magical Inca trail. Then visit the majestic Machu Picchu.

Detailed Itinerary


1st day:  CUSCO -  HUAYLLABAMBA 

Transfer from Cusco to Chillca to start the trekking from Km. 88. 5 hours of trekking until Llactapata ruins with some stops to rest along the way. Ruins exploration. Overnight.
Meals included: Lunch and Dinner.

2th day:  HUAYLLABAMBA - PACASMAYO

We will continue along Kusicancha river. The road leads to Wayllabamba, a quiet town of Inca roots and the last main settling of the Inca Trail. After lunch, we will begin the rise to Warmiwañusca pass until Llulluchapampa camp at 3.200 mts.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

3rd day: PACASMAYO - PHUYUPATAMARKA

The longest day of the trek: 15.2 Km. (9.5 miles) in 8 hours. We will climb up to Warmiwañusca pass towards Pacaymayo river valley with its tropical forest. After having crossed Runkurakay pass, the forest appears at the mountain slopes. The road continues along high forest with climbing plants, exotic flowers, an inca tunnel and crosses the bridge over the charming Puyupatamarca ruins. With the view of Urubamba and Veronica and Salkantay, the mountains covered with snow, these ruins become one of the most beautiful places of the road.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

4th day: PHUYUPATAMARKA - MACHU PICCHU

Descent to Wiñayhuayna (2.599 m - 8.500 p) ruins, a little Inca city abandoned for unknown reasons, like Machu Picchu. Arrival to IntiPunku, the sunrise for lunch and to enjoy a fantastic view of Machu Picchu, the lost city, located in a magnificent landscape that surprises the spectators. We will visit Machu Picchu fabulous stone buildings, maybe the most outstanding engineering work in old America. Temples, stairways, palaces and trapezoid houses of stone are shown everywhere, as a testimony of the energy and creativeness of the builders. Lodging at the selected hotel in Aguas Caleintes.
Meals included : Breakfast and Lunch.

 
THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:

• Official tourism guide in the language requested

• Transport to the Sacred Valley (private service)

• Meals included

• Camping site equipment for 3 nights (individual canvas tents, mattresses and kitchen equipment, tents, tables, chairs)

• Porters (for the camping equipment) Return trip Machu Picchu / Cuzco by train (autowagon)


Important : The members of the expedition must have the following equipment:
