Detailed Itinerary

1st day: LIMA

Reception at Lima Airport and transfer to the selected hotel. Accomodation.

2nd day: LIMA – CITY TOUR

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the return flight. Transfer to the selected hotel. City Tour. Private service. An outstanding tour will take us to the ancient and the modern sides of this charming city. In the ancient or traditional zone we will appreciate: the Main Square, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the City Hall, Desamparados train station and the old streets with their moorish style mansions built in vicerroyal times. We will also visit the Church of San Francisco with its convent, the colonial art museum, cloisters and catacombs. etc. The tour will continue at the most traditional residential and commercial areas of the city: San Isidro and Miraflores with its Central Park. We will finish the tour with an spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and Miraflores beaches. We will go later to Gold Museum, a private collection owned by Mr. Manuel Mujica Gallo. The exhibition includes gold pieces of Pre-Inca cultures, specially Mochica, Chimu and Nazca. Return to the hotel.

3rd day: LIMA- CUZO- CITY TOUR + NEARBY RUINS

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cuzco. Reception at Cusco airport. Transfer to the selected hotel. Rest and acclimation. In the afternoon, there is a combined excursion, the first part is a visit to THE CITY: the Main Square, formerly known as HUACAYPATA; THE CATHEDRAL, where you will appreciate some Cusco School paintings; KORICANCHA, Inca empire military- religious center and temple of its main God, '' THE SUN''. The second part is a visit to Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, which is composed by 4 main units: SACSAYHUAMAN, TAMBOMACHAY, PUCAPUCARA and QUENKO. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the selected hotel. Accomodation

4th day: INCA TRAIL-CUSCO - HUAYLLABAMBA

Transfer from Cusco to Chillca to start the trek at Km.82. Five hours of walking to Llaqtapata ruins with some parades to rest along the way. Exploration of ruins. Overnight.

5th day: INCA TRAIL – HUAYLLABAMBA - PACAYMAYU

We will continue along Kusicacha river. The trail takes us to Wayllabamba, a quiet town of Inca origins and the last main settling of Inca Trail. The Warmiwañusca crossing ascent starts after lunch and will continue untill Llulluchapampa camp at 3.200 m.o.s.l.

6th day: INCA TRAIL- PACAYMAYU - WINAYWAYNA

( 7 to 8 hours approximately)
The longest day of the trail: 15.2 Km. (9.5 miles) in 8 hours. Going uphill through Warmiwañusca.
Pass towards Pacaymayo river valley with its tropical vegetation. After having crossed Runkurakay pass, jungle becomes visible through the mountain sides. The way continues through the high forest through climbing plants, exotic flowers, an Inca tunnel and crosses the bridge over the charming Puyupatamarca. The views of Urubamba as well as Veronica and Salkantay peaks covered with snow make these ruins one of the most beautiful places along the road.

7th day: INCA TRAIL WIÑAYWAYNA- MACHU PICCHU

Descent to Wiñayhuayna ruins (2.599 m - 8.500 p), a little Inca city, left by unknown reasons, like Machu Picchu. Arrival to Intipunku, the sun rises for lunch and enjoy a fantastic view of the lost city, Machu Picchu, located in a magnificent landscape that amazes the spectators. We will visit the fantastic stone buildings of Machu Picchu, probably the most outstanding engineering work in ancient Latin America. Trapezoidal stone temples, scales, palaces and houses can be appreciated anywhere, as testimony of the energy and the ingeniousness of the builders. Lunch at Sanctuary Lodge. After we will take the train to Cusco City. Reception and transfer to the hotel.

8th day: INCA SACRED VALLEY

Breakfast. Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way we will visit typical towns like PISAC, which is known for its craft fair and the Indian mass; LAMAY; CALCA; URUBAMBA; and OLLANTAYTAMBO town, which is known for its magnificent buildings in the upper side, its audience and warehouse distribution. (Only Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) Buffet lunch. Return to Cusco. Accommodation.
Meals included: Breakfast, lunch.

9th day: LIMA

Breakfast. At timely hour transfer to the airport. Return to your destiny city.
