Detailed Itinerary
1st day:HUANUCO - KOTOSH ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE
Arrival, reception at the airport or bus station and transfer to the hotel. City Tour, Main Square, Calicanto bridge, Colonial churches ( XVI y XVII centuries ), San Cristobal Church, San Francis Church, San Sebastián church, poplar grove of the Republic, Alomía Robles Mausoleum (Cóndor Pasa), Santo Domingo Park, Leoncio Prado`s House. Visit to “ Kotosh” archaeological site, where we will know The Crossed Hands Temple ( Templo de las Manos Cruzadas), wich is the first sculpture Pre – Inca discovered in South America.(2,200 years B.C to 200 years A.C). Site Museum. Return to the Hotel. Lodging. Disco night ( optional).

2nd day: CUEVA DE LAS LECHUZAS - SANTA CARMEN FALLS
06:00 AM Very early , transfer to Tingo Maria city (2 hrs.). 09:00 A.M. City Tour, City Tour, Main Square, Viewpoint of San Cristóbal hill, craft shops, medicinal and aphrodisiac products stores.
Visit to Tingo Maria National Park . Along the road we will appreciate the beautiful high jungle landscape, many kinds of typical plants, fauna, Jacintillo viewpoint and Lechuzas´s Cave, a great situated cave in the jungle with stalactites and stalagmites, where live parrots, swallows, bats and guacharos ( strange birds, barn owl family).
02:00 PM Excursion of Santa Carmen Falls, where we will enjoy a bath in the natural swimming pools.
05:30 P.M. Return to Huanuco.
08:00 P.M. Hotel.

3rd day: TOMAYQUICHUA VALLEY EXCURSION
07:00 A.M. Breakfast. 08:00 A.M. Very early, Tomayquichua Valley excursion “Perricholi´s earth”. Visit to Andabamba, colonial house of 400 years old with neoclassical chapel , beautiful and old belfries and where it started “ Negritos de Huanuco” tradition , Visit to the Quicacan, colonial treasury ( XVII century), wich it was years before the Closing Convent of Mercedaria Order, the best example of spanish colonial architecture in Huanuco, Virgen Inmaculada Church ( 1610 ), Micaela Villegas Hurtado´s House “ La Perricholi”, historic house where lived Enrique López Albujar and wrote his best works. Cachigaga treasury, and hermitage “Maria Causa de Nuestra Alegría”. Hotel. At the appropriate, transfer to the airport or bus station.
