TOUR DESCRIPTION
A nice guided tour along the city of Lima, Capital of Perú, originally named "La Ciudad de los Reyes", the City of Kings, in honour of the Magi, was founded in 1535.

We discover impressive archaeological sites, silent testimony of its magnificient pre-hispanics civilizations that were in this valley.

In the Historical Centre lies the Plaza de Armas, which has been declared a World Heritage by Unesco. The Plaza used to be the city´s most popular meeting point and main market. Arround the Great Plaza de Armas stand the Palacio of Govierno, the Cathedral, the Archbishop´s Palace and the Municipalidad. Admire the stony facades and wooden balconies of colonial houses and the beauty of our churches.

We visit the San Francisco Church and Monastery (include entrance), a monumental religious complex of the century XVII, and its "Catacombs", which are under the church. This is where an estimated 25,000 people were buried before the main cemetery was opened in 1808.

We go along the district of Rimac, and visit the Alameda de los Descalzos a restful place to scroll which was designed in the early 17th century and soon became one of the most popular meeting places. Near the Alameda is the Paseo de Aguas, which was also popular for a Sunday stroll in days gone by, and then the neighbourhood San Cristobal.

We wander the main avenues and streets of modern Lima, its commercial and residential places, such as “El Olivar” in San Isidro, and finally we admire the beauty of the Pacific Ocean from Love's Park in Miraflores.
